Woodstock’s Windsinger Chimes are named after Athena, Apollo, Orpheus, and King David. Orpheus is known as the inventor and master of the lyre. The lyre is a stringed musical instrument that was used to accompany the songs and poems of bards throughout antiquity. Orpheus is said to have taught humanity about medicine, writing, and agriculture. He is also known as Pindar, or “the father of songs.” Apollo is the Greek god of songs and poetry by virtue of being the leader of the Nine Muses and the director of their Choir. David used the lyre to refresh King Saul and drive evil spirits away from him.
The Windsinger Chimes all come in lower pitches than other wind chimes. The Windsinger Chime, Athena, is available in silver and black and has a slightly higher pitch than the other three models in the Windsinger Chimes collection. The Windsinger Chime, Apollo, is available in black mat and silver. Orpheus and King David Windsinger Chimes are also available in silver and black mat.
The Woodstock Windsinger Chimes are inspired by the legendary music and sounds of the literal gods and kings of the lyre. The Windsinger Chime collection offers a stately and classical selection. The chimes in the Windsinger Chime collection are tuned for a robust, deep sound.
