The three chimes in the Woodstock Passport Chimes each offer a unique sound, vision, and story. Perhaps the most stunning item in the Passport Chimes collection is the Kokopelli Chime.
Kokopelli is a fertility god, worshipped and venerated by many Native American nations in the southwestern United States. Kokopelli is often depicted playing a flute with four large protrusions growing from the back of his head. Kokopelli oversees the fertility of women, game animals, and agriculture. His flute is used to chase away the winter and attract the spring. Woodstock has used this compelling and iconic figure to make a beautiful Passport chime. The wind catcher is in the instantly recognizable shape of Kokopelli.
Two other chimes complete the Passport Chimes collection. The Celtic Cross Chime in the Passport Chimes collection features the shape of the Celtic Cross as the wind catcher. The Celtic Cross is one of the post powerful images of Celtic Christianity, and its origins date from pre-Christian religions and influences. The third chime in the Passport Chimes collection is the Forbidden City chime. This Passport Chimes item was inspired by the art and sounds of China.
The Passport Chimes collection is beautiful in its forms and simplicity.
