Written circa 1772 by John Newton, “Amazing Grace” has become one of the most beloved, well-known Christian hymns in the world. It is now featured in popular Woodstock Amazing Grace series. “Amazing Grace” speaks of a spiritual conversion with poignant lyrics. The familiar tune was added to “Amazing Grace” several years after they lyrics were completed, but music was not finalized until nearly sixty years after John Newton crafted the lyrics. John Newton was a captain of a ship on the slave trade, not a composer. In 1835, the melody “New Britain” by William Walker was joined with the words of “Amazing Grace,” and it is the opening measures of that tune that is now reflected in Woodstock’s Amazing Grace Series.
The Amazing Grace series contains four different styles of wind chimes. The first three models in the Amazing Grace series are small, medium, and large. The smallest chimes in the Amazing Grace series have the highest, sweetest pitch. The largest chimes in the Amazing Grace series have the lowest pitch. The middle sized chimes in the Amazing Grace series are a Woodstock best seller. The fourth set of chimes in the Amazing Grace series has a unique stained glass feather, so it’ll look as beautiful as it sounds.
